I am getting into making ice cream at home and always looking for unusual and interesting recipes. I also especially like the sour and sweet mixtures, the tart and the tangy, ice creams made with tropical fruits and Asian teas. I think one difference you have to realize about Seb Joe's key lime and the earlier recipe you reference that might account for the sourness, is that lime and key line are completely different fruits in order of magnitude. You cannot compare a lime ice cream recipe with a key lime flavored ice cream. Key limes pack a punch that lime enhanced with lemon cannot possibly approximate. Keep the recipes and taste tests coming, I find your site very enjoyable!
