Originally this site was created as I attempted to eat a different flavor of ice cream each day for an entire year.  Unfortunately, around day 110 I realized that I just did not have the time or money to finish out the rest of the year.  (In part because I started graduate school.)  As such, I have modified the site to be an ice cream news and review blog.  I try to post several new flavor reviews each month, so please stop back frequently and let me know what you think!
Before the content changed here was my “365 Day Ice Cream Plan”:

For the next year, an entire 365 days, I am going to try a different type of ice cream every day. That’s 365 different kinds of ice cream in 365 days. I intend to stick mainly to regular hard ice cream; though I may occasionally branch out and have soft serve or frozen yogurt or the occasional sorbet. In DC, we have numerous ice cream shops; from nationwide brands like Ben and Jerry’s, Baskin Robbins, and Haagen Dazs to local shops like Thomas Sweet, Larry’s and Dolcezza (formally Isee Icy). I intend on both getting flavors at these places and buying ice cream in the grocery store freezer. Finally, I plan to make some homemade ice cream in my new ice cream machine. Send me your recipes! It has occurred to me that this endeavor may stretch my budget, along with my waistline. To combat the later, I will take up running again. For the former, who knows… Maybe somewhere along the line I will get advertisers (if you have any thoughts on this let me know). The goal is to have fun and eat lots of ice cream.

Why Am I Doing This?

The answer is simply- I love ice cream. Since I often have trouble trying new flavors because I trust what I know to be good, I thought it might be fun to try a different flavor every day for a whole year and post my thoughts and opinions online. That way everyone else will benefit from my experience (and I’ll have an excuse to eat ice cream every day).
