That’s hilarious. We bought a tub of this stuff and tried it tonight. My gf said “it tastes weird” so I tried it and immediately thought it tasted like coffee. She doesn’t like coffee and although I drink coffee, I don’t like coffee ice cream. The coffee flavor make it taste nothing like French silk pie. Thank’s for posting your blog and not making us think we were the only crazy ones! (Name and email above is fake, BTW).
I tried this ice cream because of its reduced fat content. It has become my favorite. I love this stuff. I can’t get enough of it. I gave up trying to save my calorie intake by eating this reduced fat stuff because it tastes so good I pig out on it.
Good job to the chef
Well said. I would be happy to read anything else you might contribute on this subject.
Edy’s French Silk is absolutely hands-down my favorite ice cream EVER! The creaminess rivals those of high fat content.
I served some to friends a few weeks ago and the whole carton was emptied in no time. Everyone raved. Since then, when I go to the store to get more, I never know if they will have it in stock because it is often sold out. (Some friends!)
